The Windows MD5/SHA
Checksum Tool
-
Right-click on any file or folder, and click "Q Hasher"
-
Then choose from the available cryptographic algorithms; Q Hasher will display the checksum if you selected a file, or generate a text file of all checksums if you selected a folder.
-
No more having to eyeball checksums, simply paste in a checksum, and Q Hasher will tell if it matches.
I use Windows, and I download a lot of open source software packages. Before Q Hasher, I had to run a script and manually verify that the checksum for the software I downloaded was correct. It was always a pain, but Q Hasher has made comparing checksums so easy!
